Chicken and Vermicelli Bhaja

These cute little bhajis are perfect for parties and use rice noodles and chicken as a good alternative to onion.


For the Bhajas
100g vermicelli rice noodles
200g minced chicken
6 garlic cloves, crushed
2 red chillies, finely diced
4 spring onions, finely diced
3 tbsp coriander, finely diced
2 tbsp mint, leaves removed and finely diced
200g Gram Flour
Vegetable Oil, for deep frying
150ml water to bind


  1. Soak the vermicelli in hot water until soft. Drain and chop finely.
  2. Add all of the ingredients to a mixing bowl and combine. 
  3. Shape into bite sized balls and place in the fridge to chill 
  4. Preheat the deep fat fryer 
  5. Carefully lower in the bhajas and deep fry until golden.
